OSTENIL MINI is identical to the standard version of OSTENIL, but contains a lower amount of 10mg / 1.0ml sodium hyaluronate, ideal for treating smaller joints.

OSTENIL MINI is usually given as a course of 3 injections over a period of 3 weeks. Please consult your clinician.

  • Once your order has been placed, you will receive an order confirmation by email.
  • Once your order has been processed you will receive a despatch confirmation email and tracking information.
  • Shipping:
Orders placed before 1pm on a working day will be processed and shipped same day. Orders placed after 1pm on a working day will be processed and shipped on the next working day.
Orders placed over the weekend, bank holidays or the Christmas closure will be processed and shipped on the next possible working day.

For shipping we use Royal Mail:
  • Delivery time:
Royal Mail Standard Tracked Delivery (2-3 working days). 
Royal Mail Special Delivery (1-2 working days if ordered before 1pm).

Next working day does not cover Saturday delivery.

Deliveries to the Isle of Man, Channel Islands or Northern Ireland may take an extra day or two because of longer transit times.

Deliveries shipped to the Republic of Ireland usually arrive in approximately 3 working days, but can take up to 28 days (subject to customs clearance). Import duties and/or taxes may be applicable for which you are liable.

  • Customs duties for orders from the Republic of Ireland

All our products are sold on a DDU (Delivery Duty Unpaid) basis.
Additional taxes, fees, or levies may apply to orders delivered outside the UK, according to local legislation.
Recipients of deliveries made outside the UK (i.e., Republic of Ireland) may have to pay import duty or formal customs entry. If this is the case, the delivery may be delayed. TRB Chemedica UK Ltd cannot offer any assistance in these processes.

  • Residential Addresses:

If you are having your order delivered to a residential address, then please note that if no one is available to sign for the parcel your order may be left at a nearby Royal Mail office, for collection at your convenience.

Description

OSTENIL mini is identical to the standard version of OSTENIL, but contains a lower amount of 10mg / 1.0ml sodium hyaluronate, ideal for treatment of the small joints. It is administered intra-articularly as a course of 1-3 injections given at weekly intervals. The beneficial effects of a course of therapy of OSTENIL MINI may last for up to 6 months.

Additional information

Licensed Indication: Pain and restricted mobility in degenerative and traumatic changes of small synovial joints, for example, the facet joints of the lumbar spine, the saddle joint of the thumb, the proximal joint of the big toe and the temporomandibular joint.

Pack Size: 10 mg / 1ml syringe. Needle not included.

Dosage: Single injection once a week

Active Ingredient: Sodium hyaluronate 1.0%

Usage

Inject OSTENIL MINI into the affected joint once a week for a total of 1-3 injections. Several joints may be treated at the same time. Depending on the severity of the joint disease, the beneficial effects of a treatment cycle may last at least 6 months.

Repeat treatment cycles may be administered as required. In case of joint effusion it is advisable to reduce the effusion by aspiration, rest, application of an ice pack and/or intra-articular corticosteroid injection. Treatment with OSTENIL MINI can be started 2-3 days later.

The contents and outer surface of the OSTENIL MINI pre-filled syringe are sterile as long as the sterile pack remains unbroken. Take the pre-filled syringe out of the sterile pack, remove the Luer lock cap from the syringe, attach a suitable cannula (18 to 25 G) and secure it by turning slightly.
