OSTENIL PLUS contains a higher concentration of sodium hyaluronate, with the addition of mannitol. This formulation offers effective symptomatic relief with a single injection in knee and hip joints, and is well tolerated. OSTENIL PLUS contains 40mg / 2ml sodium hyaluronate, plus mannitol, a free radical scavenger, which helps to stabilise the chains of sodium hyaluronate.

OSTENIL PLUS is a single injection option. Please consult your clinician.

  • Once your order has been placed, you will receive an order confirmation by email.

  • Shipping:
Orders placed before 1pm on a working day will be processed and shipped same day. Orders placed after 1pm on a working day will be processed and shipped on the next working day.
Orders placed over the weekend, bank holidays or the Christmas closure will be processed and shipped on the next possible working day.
For shipping we use Royal Mail.
  • Delivery time:
Royal Mail Standard Tracked Delivery (2-3 working days). 
Royal Mail Special Delivery (1-2 working days if ordered before 1pm).

Next working day does not cover Saturday delivery.

Deliveries to the Isle of Man, Channel Islands or Northern Ireland may take an extra day or two because of longer transit times.

Deliveries shipped to the Republic of Ireland usually arrive in approximately 3 working days, but can take up to 28 days (subject to customs clearance). Import duties and/or taxes may be applicable for which you are liable.

All our products are sold on a DDU (Delivery Duty Unpaid) basis.
Additional taxes, fees, or levies may apply to orders delivered outside the UK, according to local legislation.
Recipients of deliveries made outside the UK (i.e., Republic of Ireland) may have to pay import duty or formal customs entry. If this is the case, the delivery may be delayed. TRB Chemedica UK Ltd cannot offer any assistance in these processes.

  • Residential Addresses:

If you are having your order delivered to a residential address, then please note that if no one is available to sign for the parcel your order may be left at a nearby Royal Mail office, for collection at your convenience.

Description

OSTENIL PLUS, like the standard version of OSTENIL, is an isotonic solution of highly purified sodium hyaluronate (or hyaluronic acid) developed specifically for the treatment of osteoarthritis. The novel formulation of OSTENIL PLUS utilises the combination of high concentration of sodium hyaluronate + mannitol, a free radical scavenger, which helps to stabilise the chains of sodium hyaluronate. This formulation offers the option to reduce the number of SH injections to only one injection per treatment cycle.

Dosage: Single injection

Usage

Inject OSTENIL PLUS into the affected joint. Several joints may be treated at the same time. Repeat treatment cycles may be administered as required. In case of joint effusion it is advisable to reduce the effusion by aspiration, rest, application of an ice pack and/or intra-articular corticosteroid injection. Treatment with OSTENIL PLUS can be started two to three days later.

The content and the outer surface of the OSTENIL PLUS prefilled syringe are sterile as long as the sterile pack remains unbroken. Take the pre-filled syringe out of the sterile pack. Before usage of the pre-filled syringe the tamper-evident seal has to be tilted up. As a result the crosspieces of the tamperevident seal break and the cap can be removed together with the tip cap. Attach a suitable needle (for example 18 to 25G) and secure it by turning slightly. If present remove the air bubble from the syringe prior to injection.
